Bersani: Homos

I'm in the process of writing an essay about Queer Bodies in Visual Art. There is a passage on page 6 of Leo Bersani's Homos which I may want to quote. I only have part of this quote in another book and was hoping that someone has this book and could help fill in the ellipse and give me an idea of the context in which he writes this. I despise people who quote others out of context, so I am just trying to get a better read on the situation. My Uni library doesn't have this book and I have put off writing the essay long enough that I don't have time to pick it up elsewhere. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated!

The quote...as I have it:

"Gay men and lesbians have nearly disappeared into their awareness of how they have been constructed as gay men and lesbians...having de-gayed themselves, gays melt into the culture they like to think of themselves as undermining" (Bersani 6).

Thanks in advance for your help!
